Valtrex is an antiviral drug which is now on the market to treat the herpes virus. This drug will not cure the disease because there is no none care .It does however,slows down the herpes virus so the body is able to able to slow down the growth of the virus itself.
This is given to adults as well as children , illnesses cause by the gential herpes,cold sores, shingles and even chicken pox virus.

If you happen to miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If its close to the time for the next dose, skip that one. Never take any extra to make up for the missed dose. If you took tpp much always seek medical attention. After 28 days, discard any unused.
